Absolutely stunning grounds and interior. Service in the run up to our visit was also seamless-- I organised a bridal shower here and the team were super accommodating. We easily spent over 2.5 hours there and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea. Prices are also very good value for money. Definitely recommend!
The place is lovely enough, beautiful old manor house. On arrival the car park is a walk away from the reception and it isn't clearly outlined if you are allowed to park closer. At the door there was no doorman and weren't really greeted. After checking in a porter helped us to our room at least with the bags. We had an executive room which was nice, slightly larger than a normal room. Hotel provided robes, but not slippers. At the spa you're also expected to use your robe from your room if you need one and also no slippers. Amenities are fine in the spa, if not limited. Walked around the grounds and would make a decent walk in the Summer, lots to see. Food was absolutely excellent and our servers were fab. Expensive cocktails averaging around 14 for one. We had lunch and a 3 course meal in the evening. Very romantic with live piano music. In the morning there was an excellent choice of food along with cooked food and pastries.
Outstanding venue with great ambience. Tasty afternoon tea too. Our marriage venue so everything about this place is necessarily positive!
I am just checking out of the hotel now. Exceptional staff and service they provide is second to none. I highly recommend eating an evening meal here I had a steak dinner with a passion fruit souffle. It was honestly the best meal I have ever eaten. It is such a shame we are only here for 1 night. :(
We had a modern looking room, nice size and lovely shower. I believe the hotel is in the process of having other room renovated. Great location to travel into London as there's a train station just down the road. Breakfast was nice, although pretty standard. We didn't stay for any other meals.Made use of the gym, you walk through a maze to find it bit when we did we had it to ourselves. Good job as it wasn't very big.
