Very nice place to eat, drink and stay. The pub/restaurant is decorated very well and has changed very little keeping the feel of a 15th century inn. The food is good and reasonably priced.Stay in the hotel was good. Room was large, quiet and perfectly clean. The rooms are away from the inn area so you dont hear any noise. The bed was very comfortable and there was more than expected tea/coffee facilities. The only downside ia that reception isnt always staffed but someone can easily be found in the inn.One little detail would be to add a do not disturb sign in the rooms.Overall a very good stay and brekfast was nice and a great choice to choose from
Brilliant place. Friendly staff and great food Rooms are very good and clean bed comfy Will return on our next visit to Hampshire
This is a traditional old English Inn that has been renovated but as far as the accommodation is concerned is in need of further renovation, particularly the bathrooms. The pub area is very pleasant and serves good food and drink at reasonable prices.
Brilliant place with a good atmosphere. Friendly team and obviously a good chef, as the food was delicious. Im probably going to end up there for my Christmas do, which Id recommend others do as well!
I have not been here for several years, and can truly say not much has changed. I was only here for an evening so can't comment on the accommodation. There's now an extensive outside seating area which would be nice if it wasn't for the nearby traffic. The staff are cheerful and helpful and the Badger beer well kept and there is a good selection of wines. The menu includes all the old favourites, and some interesting vegetarian dishes. However I was underwhelmed with the gamon steak, egg and pineapple. It just didn't have anything special to make it commendable. I was also puzzled at the random placing of furniture, it looked like the cleaner had hoovered round and forgot to put the chairs and tables back in sets. On the plus side, they welcome dogs and have biscuits on the bar.
