Found this trip last minute and managed to get on it in time. A lovely relaxing trip along the canal. We stopped at the old thatch and millenium barn for their open garden day. Wandered around this lovely garden and had tea with delicious cake to keep us going. Then it was back on the boat for the meander back.
A lovely birthday trip out.We booked a canal cruise for my mum birthday as she loves being on the water.When we arrived we parked on the road although there is a free car park just round the corner. A short walk gets you to Colt Hill Wharf where the boat departs from.Once on board all of the seats (tables) are labeled with the booking name so everyone is assured of a seat.The trip we were on when East along the canal and lasted about 3 hours in total. A great, very relaxed 3 hours.On board there is a toilet, bar and snack food.Highly recommended.
We booked a surprise Birthday party for my partner on 14th July with a total of 24 guests and everybody had the time of their lives, particularly the Birthday Boy. The weather was fantastic and the crew led by Steve and Andy looked after us all so well, manning the boat and looking after the bar and made it a thoroughly memorable trip, especially when they had to raise the bridge and allowed the younger members of our party to help them. The stop at King John's Castle was a real treat, an interesting ruin and a chance to cool off a bit on a very hot day. Thank you to all of you for a wonderful afternoon. The catering was taken care of by Kathryn Ball and her team at Chapel Pond Catering, and they did a fantastic job at a very reasonable cost. All round, a very successful and happy and stress-free day.
