Nothing but issues with this surgery. Received an email stating my appointment was at 4.40pm, when I arrived I was told I have missed it as it was at 10am showed the lady on reception my email from them stating 4.40pm and was told that I am wrong as her system says 10am no apology for their mistake, also informed me I missed my appointment in Oct... I didn't book one, only asked for times. Took nearly two years to get my wisdom tooth removed as they kept forgetting to do my referral. The list goes on! Staff on reception are rude and I certainly won't be returning
The dentist is great, the reception staff less so. I called recently fir an emergency appt; left a specific number to be contacted on only to find, hours later that I had been given an appt but the details sent to my mobile. It was only by my ringing back that I knew anything about it.But, the dentist, Julia, is great. She is thorough, on time, and practical.
I have been using Dentalcare Hook for a few years now.The dentist I have (Bobby) is very warm and friendly and puts me at ease straight away. After the checkup I always get given a detailed explanation of the condition of my teeth and advice on what I need to do to keep them healthy.The practise itself is always very clean and the staff presentable.The only negative point is that I found out today that they have recently introduced this system whereby you have to fill in all your medical details on an iPad before you go in for your checkup. The reason for this is not clear as they already have all this information on their system from when I first registered so why they need it again I don't know. I couldn't remember the dosages of my medication so I ended up in a situation where the Receptionist was reading out the details from their system and relaying it to me so that I could input them onto this iPad. Seemed a bit ridiculous but the Receptionist was very good about it and made sure there was nobody else in Reception before she started reading out my medical record.Apart from that I would definitely recommend the practise especially if you are a nervous patient which I was originally.
I've been coming here for close to a year and have never had a bad experience. Dr Harman Dhillon is very patient and has impeccable chair-side manner. He explains everything in lame mans terms and doesn't speak over my head. Very efficient and no nonsense approach. Jane at reception is lovely. As are the other staff who are always helpful and polite.
Found the surgery staff to be very helpful. My dentist was very polite and professional. Brilliant treatment this morning and would definitely recommend. My daughter recommended this surgery to me and I'm glad she did. Well done!
